Since 2018, SIDHA has been involved in implementing two climate proofing of watersheds namely Climate Proofing of Tyma Watershed and Climate Proofing of Cholko Watershed, supported by NABARD. The main objective of this four years project is to increase the adaptation capacity towards climate change through an integrated approach. The project is undergoing in Gola block of Ramgarh district and Markaccho block of Koderma district.

SIDHA is currently working with the Jharkhand Biodiversity Board and assisting the State Government in constituting Biodiversity Management Committees and preparing People’s Biodiversity Registers at Gram Panchayat level, Municipal Corporation level, Block level and Zilla Parishad level of East Singhbhum district.

In the year 2018, we have been involved in the formation of Farmer’s Producer Organization (FPO) in Chandwara block of Koderma district. An FPO is a cooperative form of business organization, registered under Indian Companies Act. The activity was again supported by NABARD.

During the year 2014-15, a project named “Light a billion life was conducted by SIDHA in Giridih. The project has benefitted 500 families in 14 villages of Tisri block. It was supported by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). The project focused on providing a centralized solar home lighting system through a mini-grid system.

In the year 2010, SIDHA has been part of the larger programme on Dairy by National Dairy Development Board. It has organised awareness camps for making people aware about the Dairy business and involving rural women in the business.
