SIDHA's Projects
Community Based Organisations
Social institutions greatly affect success, outcome of poverty and economic development in an area. They do so by affecting productivity of economic assets, the strategy for coping risks, the capacity to pursue new opportunities and the extent to which particular voices are heard when important decisions are made. Social institutions can help people get by and get ahead.
Adaptive Livelihood
SIDHA has promoted 18 SHGs in villages of its operation over the last 3 years. These SHGs has been organised for addressing the issues pertaining to the livelihood and vulnerability surrounding the general masses especially the women members of the society.
Empowering Village Development Committees (VDCs)
Village development committees have been promoted in all the villages where SIDHA has intervened and working closely with the community. Currently we have been able to promote 11 village development committees in the Ranchi and Ramgarh district. Meetings of these committees are held on monthly basis for discussing and deliberating issues of the village.
Agri-development and Farmer’s club
For getting the modern practices at one place it is important to organise farmers. SIDHA has organised 7 such farmers club across its area of operation. These farmers club are doing the meeting regularly and are also participating in the different workshop being conducted by the state agriculture universities.
Livelihood based activities
Broiler rearing has been done by most of the farmers in the poultry sector. Since broiler are more disease prone than the Kroiliers. So, SIDHA has introduced Kroilier farming as an income generation activity with support from ATMA under the farmer’s school programme.
